Is Ugg Adirondack III or Sorel Tivoli IV Parc Boot Better? Comparison
Shopping . TravelAre the Ugg Adirondack Boots better than Sorel Tivoli Parc? Are the Ugg boots worth the addition $40? Read on to find out. I previously made a post for the Best Snow Boots for watching Northern Lights in Alaska. The Ugg Adirondack III boot and the Sorel Tivoli IV Parc Boot were the boots that fit my needs the best.

The was hesitant to purchase the Ugg Adirondack III boots because these were the more expensive option. I found the Sorel Tivoli IV Parc Boot for $195 on Amazon, and there was the option to Try Before You Buy.
Sorel Tivoli IV Parc Boot Review
I had not see reviews for the Tivoli IV, so I figured it was worth a shot especially with the Try Before you Buy Option. I really liked the style, and for $55 less than the Ugg Adirondack it made sense.
When they Sorel Boots arrived, the first thing I noticed was that the color was significantly darker than I expected. I was expecting it to be closer to the Uggs. See the colors with my Sperry Originals for reference. Sorel calls this color “Velvet Tan”. I would not consider it Tan. In the above photos the colors look similar, but in my photo below you can see that they differ.

Ugg Adirondack is softer and more plush
When I put them on I immediately was able to feel how much softer and cozier the Uggs were. The UGG also have the sheepskin (not sure if its Faux) insole, and the Sorel boot did not have fur on the insole. The fur was throught out the shaft of boot, but not on the insole, which definately impacted the warmth and comfort.
Is Ugg or Sorel more comfortable?
The Ugg boots were significantly more comfortable. The Sorel lacked the soft insole, and had a prominent arch, which felt misplaced, and was not where my natural arch was. The UGGs win my far. The Sorel’s were definitely sleeker, and looked great, but were not comfortable. I sent the Sorel’s back, and will keep the UGGs.
Are the UGG Adirondack III Boots Worth it?
In my opinion these are the best option for snow boots, and the comfort and appearance make it worth while to spend the extra money. At Retail the Ugg Adirondack Boots are only $40 more than the Sorel Tivoli. Regarding if they are warm enough for Interior Alaska, I will have to report back after my trip.
